In today's blog by means of introduction, I share a bit about myself and my past experience in Ministry, as well as share about my ministry and how it started in the effort to bring the Hope & Encouragement of Jesus Christ to this hurting world.

Hello, I am Lori Joy. I have been in Christian Ministry since I was 8 years old, beginning when my Christian singer/songwriter mother pulled me up on stage to sing back up harmonies to her songs. In those years Mom & I toured around much of southern California and some parts of Nevada, Arizona singing as "special guests" at various churches until moving to Canada in 1983.

Over the years since, I have sung on the worship teams and/or choirs at several churches across Canada, and post 2003, I have also been guest speaker at several Christian events, lead women's groups, and I also was one of the MC's at Gloryfest 2005 (a weekend long outdoor Christian music concert) in Thunder Bay, Ontario.

We moved to Vancouver Island in 2019, and were blessed to have served on worship teams at Oaklands Bible Chapel, and at Mosaic Church for a few years.

How Lori Joy Ministries Started:

In 2020, with the country shut down by Covid, and churches also shut down... it was evident that the world at that time was gripped in fear; and, many Christians (including myself) were struggling with the lack of encouragement that the church services once gave us in tough times. It was out of that isolation that my blogs began, first under the ministry name of "Peace, Love & Jesus".

As the pandemic scare eased up and our lives slowly resumed to near normal, the ministry began to grow and expand to include music ministry and opportunities to resume my public speaking engagements. This prompted a name change for the ministry so as to encompass it all under one recognisable umbrella...

"Lori Joy Ministries."

The Lori Joy Ministries web page still has the Blogs that my 3000+ social media followers have come to enjoy, and new blogs continue to be posted. But now there is also a page where those interested in following my Music endeavors can enjoy, and where fans can follow on the release of my album in the coming year.

As well, there is a Podcast page for promoting my two upcoming videos series' called... "The Peace, Love & Jesus Podcast" and the "Peace, Love & Jesus Minute Message".

The Peace, Love & Jesus Minute Message debuts in January 2026!

Watch for it!

The "Peace, Love & Jesus Minute Message" will be the first to debut in January, and will be a short bite sized video message lasting about a minute and a half.

In the spring, will be the release of "The Peace, Love & Jesus Podcast".

The Peace, Love & Jesus Podcast will be a bi-weekly video bible teaching, approx 20 mins in length, and will feature the occasional special guest, and delve into a wide range of Biblical topics to encourage and uplift the soul.

Also debuting in the Spring of 2026 is Lori Joy's new album of original Christian music!
